Nancy Cooper Green Hinton

Nancy Green Hinton passed away peacefully on April 19th after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Daniel Bridgers Green and Blanche Pool Green. Nancy was a 1953 graduate of Broughton High School and attended Business School at Peace College.

In 1956, she married Andrew Goodwin Hinton, Jr. of Raleigh. She was employed by the state of North Carolina as Director of the Statistical Division of N.C. Dept. of Commerce Industrial Commission. She was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband, her brother, Dan Hugh Green, and her sister, Doris Green Brock.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Hinton Andrews (Jack); her son, Andrew Goodwin Hinton III (Tammy); her grandchildren, Simmons Andrews Trowbridge (Kody), Andrew Goodwin Hinton IV (Amanda) and Malone Parrish Hinton (Mia); and her great grandchildren, Kennard Shields Trowbridge V and Eleanor Grace Hinton.

A family remembrance will be held at a later date.
