Nancy Jane Wishnak

Nancy Jane Ecclestone Wishnak, 85, passed away of natural causes on July 21, 2019 at Peak Resources Alamance in Graham, North Carolina. Born on March 25, 1934 in Flora, Illinois; she was the daughter of the late Luke Crickman and Bernice Boswell Crickman.

She married David Ecclestone in 1958 and was the proud mother of four children. He proceeded her in death in 1999. In 2003, she married Leonard Wishnak and together they traveled, had fun, and enjoyed their later years.

Nancy was a 1956 graduate of Southern Illinois University. She taught kindergarten in Illinois and Ohio. As her family grew, she started a day care out of her home and did a variety of part time jobs so she could balance work and family.

Nancy was always caring and thoughtful about others. She enjoyed playing games and loved to dance. She had a great laugh and smile. Most special to her was the treasured time she spent with her family.

Throughout her life, she lived in various areas including the upper Midwest and in her later years South Carolina and North Carolina.

She is survived by her children: Lynne Laschinger, Scott Ecclestone and wife Nancy, Julie Pitsenberger and husband Dale, and Dan Ecclestone and wife, Donna and by her grandchildren: Amanda Nepomuceno and husband, Joel, Kellie Jones and husband Robert, Brayton Laschinger, Ean Ecclestone, Anna Ecclestone, Taylor Ecclestone and Trevor Ecclestone and wife Claire.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 26th at 3 pm in the Mausoleum Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park, with family receiving friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dorcas Ministries, 187 High House Drive, Cary, NC 27511 for their community programs.
