

Miss Nancy Ann Wright of 344 Springmoor Drive, died Thursday, October 20, 2016 in Stewart Health Center at Springmoor. Nancy Ann was born June 22, 1930 in Raleigh, the daughter of Frank M. and Nancy Belvin Harden “Bee” Wright. She lived with her parents in the family home of her grandmother, Mrs. John William (Katie Belvin) Harden at 1615 Hillsboro Street. Many happy years were spent at “1615” where the home was shared with her extended family including uncle John W. Harden, Jr. and her aunts, Katharine Parmerle Harden, Elizabeth Pullen Harden Randolph and her husband Ernest A. “Randy” Randolph. In addition, at the invitation of grandmother Katie, her Coker College friend Jean Stevens (later Mrs. Jim Edwards) lived with the family for nine years.
For many years Nancy Ann owned and operated Carolina Employment Agency in Raleigh. She was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church.
Nancy Ann is survived by her cousin, George Wright Meyer and his wife Paula of Fearrington Village and their children, Helen G. Meyer of Raleigh and G. Wright Meyer III of Charlotte and his wife Micheline and their daughter Michele. Additional survivors include trusted confidants and beloved friends Jean Stevens Edwards and Lonnie Ruth Stroman, and special Springmoor friends, Marshall and Frances Evans, Gladys Crowder and Barbara Venson, all of Raleigh.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Springmoor Auditorium, 1500 Sawmill Road, on Sunday, October 23 at 3:00 p.m. Nancy Ann was the last remaining pioneer at Springmoor. A private burial will be at the Pullen family plot in Oakwood Cemetery.
