

He graduated from New Bedford Institute of Technology in 1950 with a BA degree in Textiles. He then joined the US Army where he served as 1st lieutenant at a Chemical Weapons Depot during the Korean War.
He worked as Vice President at Atlantic Industries, a color dye company selling to textile businesses across the United States. Upon his retirement, he spent as many days as possible on a golf course.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Virginia Hadfield Taylor; parents Norman Winston Taylor Sr. and Mildred Robinson Taylor; a brother Richard Taylor and a sister Nancy Taylor Reid.
He is survived by his three children: Keith Allen Taylor (Sharee) of Murphy, NC; Pamela A. Taylor Parker (John) of the home and Paul Andrew Taylor of Hayesville, NC. He is also survived by 5 Granddaughters: Kira A. Taylor Davis (Andrew), Susan Taylor Little (Andre), Kimberly Taylor Hatcher (Charles), Karla Taylor Stephenson Perry (Todd) and Stacey Taylor Marcucio (Philip). 9 Great Grandchildren also mourn his passing.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one during his final days.
