Nyna Neville Neville Logan

Mrs. Nyna Neville Logan, 67, died Sunday, June 24th at Duke Hospital after a long struggle with heart disease. Mrs. Logan was born in Rocky Mount, NC on December 3, 1944, a daughter to the late Henry and Nyna Neville. She had one brother, Donn Neville, who predeceased her. Mrs. Logan worked as a secretary at the Newport News Shipyard. She moved to Raleigh in 1964 and worked at the NC Department of Public Instruction. For many years she was an active member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and, recently volunteered her time and efforts with Christian Library International, a ministry to reach prison inmates. On November 18, 1968 she married Thomas Jackson Logan and made their home in Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Logan is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Logan and their two children, Thomas McDonald Logan and Lisa Logan Groom and her husband Charles Groom. She is loved and is dearly missed by all who knew her. Her family will receive friends Wednesday, June 27, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary’s St., Raleigh, NC 27605. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 28, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Christian Library International, 3800 Hillcrest Dr # A, Raleigh, NC 27610.
