In her young life, she lived and worked in Laurinburg where she was employed in the office of Waverly Mills, Inc. In 1958 she moved to Raleigh, where she began work at North Carolina State University.
Page retired from the University in 1989 and had since enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family (whom she loved dearly), and as an active member of Edenton Street United Methodist Church. She was active in Sunday School, Bible study, and United Methodist Women. Page served on numerous committees of the church, including the Worship Committee, Alter Guild, Administrative Board, Visioning Committee, and Board of Trustees. Her time at the church was an important part of her life and faith.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents; by sisters, Carol Griffin (Lonnie) and Lois Raines (Larry); and by brothers, Marcus Billingsley, Jr., Everett Billingsley, and Roy Billingsley (Carole).
She is survived by a niece and eight nephews; Beth Griffin Erwin (Ross) of Dalton, Ga., James L. Raines of Richmond, Va., Jeffrey Raines (Joyce) of Middletown, Md., John Raines (Anita) of Conway, SC, Andrew Billingsley (Claire) of Chapel Hill, NC, Jerry Griffin (Karen) of Blue Springs, MO, Steve Griffin (Karen) of Dalton, Ga., Mitch Billingsley (Patti) of Rockville, Va., and Carl Billingsley (Melanie) of Lake Norman, NC. Also surviving are a number of great nieces and nephews, all of whom Page loved dearly.
A visitation will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Edenton Street United Methodist Church, 228 West Edenton Street, Raleigh at 10:00am. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 11:00am. Burial will be at 3:00pm at Mary Love Cemetery, 313 Oakland Avenue, Hamlet.
