Pamela is remembered by those close to her as an incredibly sweet person who never had a bad word to say about anyone. She held a dear place in her heart for birds, plants, and the mountains. She worked as a cytotechnologist before retiring from the state of North Carolina at the age of 65.
She is predeceased by her mother, Alice Frye Barnwell; and her brother, Jerry Draper.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Brad Gambrell.
