Keerthisheshulu Sri Jujjuri Parameswara Rao Garu was born in Munugodu, near the banks of Krishna River, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Our dad was born on the exact day and year when Mahatma Gandhi was departed. My relatives and friends recognize my dad for qualities like discipline and honesty. Dad spent his childhood and completed high school in Amaravathi, Andhra Pradesh and obtained a Diploma (Licensed in Civil Engineering) from Guntur Polytechnic College in 1966. Dad was offered state employment as an “Overseer” while he was in college to service & maintenance of Krishna river’s canal work in the rural areas during the beginning of his career.
Later Dad had accepted a Supervisor position in Construction Corporation and played a direct role in construction of Srisailam Dam Project, Kurnool District In the combined state of Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana). The construction corporation was merged with the Irrigation Department and then Dad was deputed as Junior Resident Engineer to support Nagarjuna Sagar Dam Left Canal. Dad retired as a Deputy Executive Engineer serving NSP (Nagarjuna Sagar Project) and lived in NSP camp, Miryalguda, Nalgonda District, Telangana from 1988.
Dad was the 2nd of the 6 siblings, who later shouldered the responsibilities of 3 of his siblings, their education, jobs/career and marriages while our Dad lost his Dad very soon after his marriage. Dad managed to take care of all these responsibilities at a very young age and very well managed. Dad met his soul mate (my mom) in 1972 through my aunt’s family who used to live in Amaravathi and got married on October 22nd 1972. My parents are blessed with 3 children (2 boys - Vinod and Kiran and a daughter - Jyothi). My parents celebrated their Golden Jubilee in 2022.
Our Dad worked very hard to provide comfort to the family like every other dad. But our Dad was unique in fulfilling all the needs and comforts even before they were being asked. Our Dad raised 3 successful children, both the sons are IT managers and working daughter-in-law s in Information Technology and settled in the USA. Daughter completed post graduate and she has been married to a gentleman, Satish Patnala, Senior Manager in IT. Our Dad has 6 grandkids in total with 3 grand daughters and 3 grandsons. Our Dad has saved enough for the family to live comfortably. Our Dad lived his life at fullest and always felt proud of his wife, kids and grandkids. Our Dad visited the USA 4 times and spent good time with our families and also spent good time with his daughter 's family while in Bangalore.
Our Dad’s hobbies are to socialize with his colleagues and families and keep everyone in mind and frequently inquire about them via phone calls. Dad was very disciplined and managed all his assets very well and had always envisioned the future. Our Dad’s Will was prepared based on his wish, and ensured our mom’s future is secured from a pension and accommodation perspective.
Our Dad blessed all of us by spending 2 months with each one of us so they get an opportunity to serve him during his final months. Dad likes to enjoy the good company of friends and relatives. He enjoys nice Indian coffee anytime.
Some of the best qualities of our Dad were speaking his mind, honesty, helping nature and unconditional love towards family, relatives and friends. He is Pure at heart (Kalmasham leni manishi) and always thinks about everyone.
By the grace of Lord Krishna, our Dad felt content and attained sadgathi after the day of Varalakshmi pooja, on 8/17 early morning at 6:30, while everyone was sleeping. Yamaraj played his tricks and executed his plan to take our Dad that way, so the departure was smooth. Our Dad’s departure was so smooth like everyone else dreamed. He passed away in his sleep and left us in a vacuum. Om Shanthi!
Lovingly,
Wife: Jujjuri Rajya Lakshmi
Jujjuri Vinod & Swetha (Sahasra and Shradha)
Jujjuri Kiran & Komali (Kanishk and Krithik)
