Patricia M. Del Paggio

Patricia McSherry Del Paggio, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 12, 2015. Born on November 14, 1940 in Parma, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late William McSherry and Janet Brown and the wife of the late David Del Paggio.

Pat had an infectious smile and outgoing personality that always brightened everyone around her. She busied herself with community work and was very active in her daughters’ lives. Pat will be remembered as a vivacious, energetic, and warm wife, mother, sister, and friend. She truly brought a smile to every person she ever met.

She is survived by her daughters, Dia Roberts and husband Hugh Roberts of Winston-Salem (grandchildren Maria and Meredith Roberts), Susan Fletcher and husband John Fletcher of Candler (grandchildren Regan and Steven Fletcher), and Cherie Johnson and husband Brian Johnson of Raleigh (Coleman Johnson). Additionally, she is survived by many siblings: Janet Faye Novak, Roberta Petznick, Laura DiLallo, Jo Ann Agostinelli, Dan Brown, Betsy Wise, Jim McSherry, Bill McSherry, and Sali McSherry.

Pat’s family greatly appreciates the continued love, support, and care at Raleigh Rehabilitation Health Center, where she has resided since 1990.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 2PM at First Presbyterian Church, with family to receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church (1125 Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC 27601) who over the years has been such a great support for her family.
