Patricia Nileen Nileen Hunt

Patricia Nileen Hunt, 69, of Raleigh NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, surrounded by her family. Nileen was born in Memphis, TN on June 1, 1943 to Nile Franklin and Dora Lucile Howell Hunt.

Nileen was a long time employee of the Research Triangle Institute in RTP, NC before retiring. She worked in numerous roles including operations research, programming, and proposal development. Nileen loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid art quilter and was involved in the operations and helping to run the Triangle Art Quilters Guild in Raleigh. She had a craft business, misshunt.com, through which she enjoyed the opportunity to share her crafts with many others. She also loved spending time at the beach with her family.

Nileen is survived by her life partner, Roger Austin; her brother, James H. Hunt; two nephews, Noah B. N. Hunt and Jesse A. J. Hunt; a niece, Tyler J. Hunt; as well as many friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 5, 2013 from 4-6PM at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612.
