My mother-in-law Rebecca Meares passed away last March at 101. She lived at Zebulon House while Mrs. Patty was there. My husband and I would wheel her down to the chapel where Mrs. Patty was playing and we would sing all the old hymns with Mrs. Patty. Her music filled the halls of that facility and blessed our souls each time we would visit. Heaven has gained a true saint. She finished well and certainly will be missed. We look forward to seeing her again.

Patty and I were roommates at Wesleyan College our sophomore year. I remember fun times and visits with our families in Columbia and Greenville, SC. I was a bridesmaid in Patty’s wedding at Washington Street UMC where I now attend. My husband and I were living in Morocco in 1965-66. We visited Patty and Bill in Spain..
We lost touch during the years. The last time I saw her she was living on Devereaux. She was a fun-loving and good friend.
I am so sorry for your loss and wish Patty and I
could have stayed in touch.

Patty was a wonderful friend and we spent many special times together. She loved coming to my home and playing with my little poodles. I will miss her.
