Paul and I met in the summer of 1990, he a fresh transplant from San Gabriel, California.

Paul McCartney, of Beatles fame, had booked a concert at Raleigh’s Carter-Finley Stadium that summer, and I asked Paul if he would like to join me. Our great love of The Beatles was mutual.

Paul and I shared a kinship for both live music, as well as in the formation of several bands,
which he fronted for multiple years in his new home of Raleigh.

Paul was immensely dedicated to his craft. The countless band practices, guitar and harmony sessions that took place in Paul’s garage were some of the happiest times of my life.

Paul, never a loss for words, expressed multitudes with his craft of songwriting. Sharing his varied musical abilities with others brought Paul a great deal of joy.

I am blessed to have been a part of his song of life.

What can one say at the end of a life filled with such energy...the knowledge we lost when Paul took his last breath....could fill a county library. He was ever so patient with the many roles he played..Father, Husband, Brother, Son, Uncle, Band Member, In-law and Friend....he loved with a fierce loyalty sometimes manifesting itself with only a kind glance..but fiercely loyal all the same in it's intent. Once Paul brought you into his heart ...he never let you leave his heart. He was a man of many talents and it was often a joy to watch him display them...part of his own joy...was clearly bringing joy to others. There is a hole in my heart knowing I no longer have his ears to bounce life off of....His advice if he could speak to me.... with his Southern California grin "you got to learn to ride that wave...don't fight it"....Rest in peace my friend.

My life long friend. Very close as young men and shared so many great times. So many special memories of the times we were there for each other. Creativity in music was in his sole. He was that guy that would rock out like no one was watching, his passion and his love. A loving husband and father; He Loved!
Farewell Brother, Rock On!!!!!!
