Pauletta Allen King

Pauletta Allen King, 67, of Raleigh died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at her home. Pauletta was native of Raleigh and the daughter of the late Millard and Brondelle Allen. She graduated from Needham B. Broughton in 1964 and attended Peace College. She was a lifelong member of Hayes Barton United Methodist Church. Pauletta was a die-hard Democrat who loved politics, NCSU Athletics, gardening, genealogy research, and was a member of Daughters of the Revolution.

She was predeceased in death by her husband, Ronald Syke King, in 1995; and her granddaughter, Angelica Maecy Woods, in 2009.

Pauletta survived by her three children; daughter, Ronette K. Wheeler of Raleigh; son, Ronald S. King, Jr. and wife, Donna, of Raleigh; daughter, Mary K. Bridgers and husband, Paul, of Garner; all six grandchildren; and a special friend, Chris Dunlap.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held Saturday, January 4th at 1:00 pm at Hayes Barton United Methodist Church, 2209 Fairview Drive, Raleigh, NC 27608. The family will receive friends following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Burial will be private.
