Hilda West Peppin, 92, known as "Peggy", passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on September 30, 2010. She was born on December 3, 1917 in Hampshire, England; the daughter of the late Cyril West and Hilda Rampton West. She is survived by her two sisters Vera Brooks and Heather Girvan and predeceased by her husband Raymond Peppin and two sisters Edna Price and Cecilia Chapman.
Peggy was dedicated to serving the Lord and people all her life. Peggy did volunteer work at Rex Hospital, First Assembly of God Church and served her neighbors while living in Raleigh. She left this earth and those who knew her with a great devotion to Jesus. She lived life lively and Peggy will forever remain deep in the hearts of those who knew her.
Friends will be received on Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 1:00-2:00 pm with a service following at 2:00 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Ave.). Graveside services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens on ACC Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
