Pragnavati Purshottam Thakkar

Pragnavati Purshottam Thakkar passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Born in Mumbai, India in September 1947, Pragna was truly a child of independent India. She was the third of six children in the family of late Karsandas and Prabhavanti Thakkar. She was the beloved sister of the five brothers and was brought up with a lot of love and care.

She is survived by her two children, Bina and Manish, her daughter-in-law Archana and her most beloved granddaughter Navya.

Pragna had only completed High School but was very ahead of her times when it came women empowerment, education and independence. She was head strong in protecting her family in adverse circumstances.

Pragna was known for her discipline when it came to Yoga, her walks and her spiritual learnings. She believed in healthy living and set an example for her peers in terms of fitness and health. She always wished to say goodbye to the world in peace and God blessed her with a peaceful farewell.

Due to the current pandemic, no prayer ceremony will be held.

I am Bina's childhood friend. I have seen aunty in all ups n downs of life with a smile on her face. Very cheerful and always encourages us to do exercise n systematic lifestyle. We all will have a very beautiful memories of her in our mind. Soul carries only these things with them n she will have a bag full of blessings and love from all of us. Om Shanti

Dear Bina and Family,
Pragna autie will always stay in our memories. It was so nice to have known her. A very quiet and gentle soul. I last saw her logged into our zoom Ekadashi Satsang on January 9th and listen in. She will be dearly missed.
