Rachel Matthews Cooper

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Nelvin Cooper, her three children, Donna Burke and husband Thomas, Thomas Cooper and wife Julia, and Susan Merrell; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She retired as a media assistant from West Cary Middle School. Many thanks to Duke Cancer Center Raleigh for their loving care during the past year.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia and Canine Companions for Independence in Orlando, Florida.

Services will be private.
