Rebecca Becky W. Blanchard

Becky loved to dance and was the owner and operator of The Rendezvous Dance Club. She was gifted in doing crewel embroidery & often gave family & friends framed pieces of her work. Becky loved flowers and spent countless hours in her yard making it a show place of floral beauty.

She was a strong woman as evidenced by her faithfulness as the primary caregiver of her husband, Gib, most of their married life despite losing the apple of their eye, their son, Bobby. She is preceded in death by her son, Robert, "Bobby" Gibson Blanchard and her husband, A. Gibson Blanchard as well as her 2 sisters, Dorothy Horton and Elizabeth Horsnell and 2 brothers, Carl Wheeler and William Wheeler. Her parents, Spencer W. Wheeler and Irma Dean Wheeler also preceded her in death.

She is survived by nieces and nephews and their families who enjoyed spending time with Aunt Becky!

Visitation will be at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on St. Mary's St. on Thursday,Sept 6 from 5pm - 7pm. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
