What a beautiful portrait of Mrs. Rebecca Davis Williams Long Hobgood.  She appears to have been a very refined lady, with a large and loving family.  I wish I had encountered her during her lifetime.  She is a distant cousin and named after my great-great-great grandmother, Rebecca Davis who married William C. Williams of Warrenton.  I am related through their son Buckner Davis Williams, son John S. Williams, son Hugh Davis Williams, daughter Mary. My condolences to the entire extended family.

I knew Mrs. Hobgood from the time I was a driver at Springmoor 5 years ago.  I used to take her across the street to the clinic.  She was such a delightful lady.  I have since become a private duty caregiver and have worked for various Springmoor residents. I had only seen Mrs. Hobgood a few times in recent years, but I understood that she was getting good care at her apartment and was thus able to remain there.  I know that meant a lot to her, as she did not want to have to go to the Health Center.  I will always hold fond memories of Mrs. Hobgood.  She will be missed by many at Springmoor. I am so sorry for your loss.
