In addition to her husband, Rita is survived by her children, Gary S. Gartner, and his wife, Susan Saenger, of Durham, NC, Karen Condon, and her husband, David, of Salisbury, NC; grandsons, Sam and Leo Gartner; sister, Ellen Schonfeld of Brooklyn, NY; and her sister-in-law, Diane Reisdorf, of California.
A Remembrance Gathering was held at Mitchell Funeral Home, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
