Robert Wayne Batten, Sr. of Raleigh passed away on June 27, 2021 at The Black Mountain Neuro Medical Treatment Center. Robert was born on February 27, 1947 in Robeson County, NC to the late Norwood and Betty Tyner Batten.
Bob was a loving husband, father, brother and son. He loved traveling, and taking cruises with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister Betty Griffin and brother Norwood
Dick” Batten; step-brothers, Pete Winstead, Sonny Winstead; Step-sisters, Inez Allsbrook, Frances Smith, and Virginia Durham.
Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years Wanda, and sons, Robert Wayne Batten, Jr. and Ronald Wesley Batten; niece Harriet McNeill, and nephew David McNeill.
The family will be taking his ashes to Key West, Florida, his favorite place to visit in the future.
