Robert Lee Davis

With deep love we announce the passing of our devoted father, grandfather and friend Robert Lee Davis on September 21,2026. Robert was born in Crestline, Ohio on November 21,1948 to Carl and Harriet Davis.

Robert was part of the graduating Class of 1967 from Crestline High School. After graduation he entered the telecommunication world. Over the next 43 years his hard work ethics he obtained many certifications that provided world travels. Robert ended his career with the prestigious title of Operational Project Manager.

Robert had a love for sports which he passed on through his coaching youth sports. He earned the title of Coach Bob. Coach Bob coached many youth sports that included wrestling, football and baseball.

During his lifetime he enjoyed cheering on his beloved Buckeyes (Go Bucks!), attending classic car shows, bowling and presiding over his HOA as president. His pure enjoyment was watching his children as well as his grandchildren in their activities. As in his life he allowed his faith to carry him through it all.

Robert was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl and Harriet Davis. As well as his two brothers Carl Jr and Harry Davis, Three sisters Helen Reamsnider, Betty Rhinehart and Laura Davis. His in-laws were Carolyn Davis, Bill Rhinehart, Bob Johnston and Wendell Tinch Sr.

Robert is survived by his two sisters Ruth Johnston and Diana “Chickie” Tinch as well as his children Joey (Heather), Shawn (Meredith) and Michele Shuler. As well as 10 grandchildren Alisha, Elizabeth, Austin, Jordan, Hadley, Valeree, Harper, Gunner, MacKayla and Evelyne and 5 great-grandchildren Lincoln, Aleksandra, Anna, Carter and Callie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who affectionately called him Uncle Joe.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors prior to the service beginning at 11:00am.
