Roger was born on September 11, 1932, in Albia, Iowa, and resided in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Roger is survived by his children, Allison Jacokes (Dennis), Dale Lewis (Constance), Julie Feeney (John), and Randolph Lewis (Abigail); grandchildren, Caitlin Jacokes, Caroline Jacokes, Allison Feeney, JJ Feeney, Genevieve Lewis, and Sophia Lewis.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11 at 11:00am at West Raleigh Presbyterian Church, 27 Horne Street, Raleigh, NC. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, in Historic Oakwood Cemetery.
