Sal was intense, present, outspoken and loquacious. Sal was not afraid of speaking his mind (oh yes!) But most importantly, Sal could speak his heart. Sal's eyes had an amazing sparkle when he talked about his children and grandkids. Every time we talked the focus of our conversations would be on how much he loves being a grandpa and how intelligent and special his grandkids are. Even though Sal was already sick, he made every effort to wait for the birth of baby Emma... How he waited anxiously for this baby girl to arrive!
Sal has taught me to just sit and watch our little ones play. Sal reinforced the importance of family to me. Sal spoke of his grandsons and grandaughters as his most sacred treasure.
Sal dreamed of being alive to see his grandaughters graduate and/or get married someday.
I'm so grateful for Sal's life, for his unconditional love towards my daughters and grandkids. I'm grateful for each moment we spent together as a family.
Sal, you are not physically here among us anymore but we will love you and treasure your life forever.
Rest in peace, Sal - we love you!

Sal -What I can say about this man Is that he was funny, outspoken and had so many many long stories to tell, I definitely never try to get a word in because it was impossible while listening LOL. But I have been part of this family for 14 years and they have to be the most kind and welcoming family I’ve known outside of my own. Over this past week I have been praying and thinking so much about all of them and their loss and I am so sorry for them. But I am so happy that I got to know this man who is part of raising this amazing family. I love you all!
Sal may you rest in peace and rest easy and say hi to my dad I told him to welcome you with open arms I💕Love you Diana

Sal was the funniest, most wonderfully outspoken person I know. He so readily accepted me and my sisters into the family with open arms and a big kiss, calling us his daughters. Joy always followed when he was around, despite all of his struggles; he fought every day for those he loved.
Sal will forever have a place in my heart and I'll appreciate his unconditional love always ❤
My heart is hurting since his passing, but all of the love and happiness he shared when he was here, helps calm it down.
I'll always love you, Sal. Thank you for the wonderful memories, kindness and kisses. Rest in Peace 🥺

Sal, you will be greatly missed. I will always remember the kindness you showed me welcoming me in as part of the family and all the laughs you brought at every occasion. Your personality was bigger than life! After only meeting you once when Jen and I moved into our apartment years ago you left a lasting mark upon my parents and to this day not a phone call goes by without my dad asking how you're doing. I know you are no longer in pain and are currently looking down with pride and love on your family. All my love and prayers to your family, rest in peace.
