Sarah Hobgood Forsyth

Sarah Rose Hobgood Forsyth passed away at Sunrise of North Hills it Raleigh, NC on Thursday, February 15, 2024. A Memorial Service was held Wednesday, February 21, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, 7209 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, with Rev. Laura Ledford Officiating.

A Christmas Eve Baby, Sarah was born in Oxford, NC on Dec. 24, 1931. She was the Daughter of the late James Malcolm and Fannie Thompson Hobgood.

A Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Scarlett Forsyth Bryant of Raleigh; Four Grandchildren, James Bedford Bryant II (Anna) of Seattle, WA., Douglas Edison Bryant (Cheryl) of Raleigh, NC., Sara Bryant Bonilla (Mario) of Reston, VA., and Ashlea Dixon Fields (Chuck) of Holly Springs, NC.; Eight Great-Grandchildren. Also surviving is her daughter in law, Melissa Pike Forsyth of Raleigh, NC., Niece, Marsha Campbell Newton (Bobby) and Judy Harris Campbell of Townsville, NC.

She was preceded in Death by Edison Lancelot Forsyth; Her Son, James Edison Forsyth; Sister and Brother in Law, Charlotte and Whit Campbell, and nephew, Greg Campbell.

The family expresses their utmost appreciation to Sunrise of North Hills Assisted Living and Memory Care and Heartland Hospice for their kind and loving care.
