Scott Kelley Weber

April 15, 1963April 29, 2021

Scott Weber (58) passed away at home on Thursday, April 29 surrounded by his wife and children after a long battle with liver disease.

Scott, fondly known as Bigfoot, loved the outdoors. He spent time camping, hiking, fishing and searching for Indian artifacts. His bonfire prowess is legendary. Scott was a natural athlete and when he was younger played baseball, football and wrestled in high school and college. Scott had a crazy sense of humor and was a prankster. You never knew when he would strike. He loved all kinds of music and would crank it up whenever Lisa would let him.

Scott was a very hard worker and took pride in a job well done. His professions changed many times over the years from restaurant manager to mover to pest control where he eventually opened his own business. He enjoyed being self-employed and he ran his business with honesty and integrity

Scott was a devoted husband and father and he was happiest when he was surrounded by family. He is survived by Lisa, his wife of 35 years, his children Alexis, Samuel, Marshall and Garrett (and Garrett’s girlfriend, Maddie) as well as his sister Robin, her husband David, her ex-husband Jeff and their children and grandchildren, his sister Rhonda, her husband Mike and their children and grandchildren. He is also survived by Lisa’s mother Nancy and step-father Robert as well as Lisa’s brothers Robert, Brian, David and his wife Nelly, Matt and his wife Jill and their large families.

A memorial service will held on Friday, May 7, 2021 beginning at 6:00pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 300 Saint Mary's Street, Raleigh. The family will receive friends following the service.

Scott was my favorite fishing partner. He seemed to enjoy every trip, even when we weren't catching a lot. However, there was that day on Falls Lake when we got surprised by a sudden storm. We were desperately trying to reach a sheltered cove and our tiny boat was taking a beating. A large wave nearly flipped the boat, and Scott (and his chair ) got catapulted over the rail and into the cold lake. We managed to reach shallow water so Scott could climb back aboard. That might not have been very enjoyable.
Scott was a loyal friend for more than 15 years. He was cheerfully willing to help whenever a strong back was needed on a project.
Scott was devoted to his family. He was so proud of his wife and kids.
I miss you, Scott Weber. I admire your integrity and generosity and bravery. Never met a man with such a positive attitude, even when the chips were down. I love you.

The WeberHaus has been a welcoming place for family and friends. We have celebrated baby showers, bridal showers, graduations. There have been bon fires and pig pickin’s. Through it all, Scott, LisaWeber and the rest of the Weber family made us honorary family members. Scott, your generosity and laughter will be missed.

My name is John Menchaca. I live in California. Scott and I never met face to face, however, we had 1 common interest. We both played a video game called Future Tanks. In this game, people drive around in a virtual tank fighting other players from all over the world. I was the commander of a team called American Iron. Scott joined the team while under the name of Bigfoot. Scott, very quickly became a great player. He made friends with so many players from all over the world. Many player from Russia, Japan, Brazil and England, send their condolences to Scott and the family. Scott thank you for getting to know you. I'm gonna miss our talks and jokes we shared in team chat. RIP brother. My prayers and condolences go out to the family. May GOD bless you all during this hard time.

I have so many great memories and now at a loss for words to express my sympathies to you Lisa and your children.
Scott was such a special person and it was so easy to become his friend which we did in the summer of 85 as “Rucker Truckers!” I can remember one time Scott and I was pulling into the parking lot at 5pm after a full day and we saw our boss waiting on the steps because we needed to head back out to Chapel Hill and all we could say was Chaching$$! Those were the days! Lisa I will continue to say you were lucky to get him first. God bless all of you.

We cannot put into words the sorrow we feel for you and your family. Scott was a unique person and I'm glad I had the chance to know him for so many years. It didn't matter what kind of car he was driving it was for the street and the trial. He is the only person I know that went off road in a Minivan. Lisa we love you Alexis, Sam, Marshall, Garrett and Maddie anything we can do for you will be our pleasure.
Love Nelly Maxwell Owen Adoni and David Siry see you soon

Lisa and family, I have always enjoyed hearing stories about the eventful Weber household. All of the shares were filled with silliness and truly exemplified how special and how much love is in your house. DScott was so fortunate to be surrounded by his family. Please know everyone at American Airlines is sending supportive thoughts and wishes your way. Thinking of you - xoxo Melissa
