For the hundreds of car rides I spent with my two angels, I never knew or thought i’d be the one here today. I never got to say to them how much they both lifted my spirits and made me feel like everything was okay. Shane glowed with positivity and I looked up to him for that. He always had a smile on his face, whatever we were doing. He always shared his last cigs and was the kindest soul, and gone too soon. I hope they’re together watching over me and everyone’s lives they touched.

Even though me and shane hadn’t spoken to each other for almost 10 years, at one point in my life he was like a little brother or another brother too me and my sisters and one of the most important people in our lives. He was our first friend from when we moved to the raleigh-Cary area. We played GameCube a lot, and Pokémon and all the fun games from those days. Shane was my brother. I loved his mother and his father as if they were my own and I’m deeply saddened, I wish i had reached out too him. He was a good friend and an even better person. He will be missed.
