Shawn Cecil Capps

Shawn was born at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, N.C. to Mary Jane Dickerson Capps and the late Cecil Wyche Capps. He was the third of four children. Shawn grew up in the Raleigh area until his high school years when the family moved to St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Parkway North High School and then returned to Raleigh where he attended N.C. State University. Shawn graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and then spent most of his work career with Caterpillar in Clayton, N.C.

Shawn loved animals and his Camaro cars. He was a humble servant of God. Kind and caring, he was always willing to help a friend.

Shawn is survived by his mother, Jane D. Capps and sisters Pam Hixson and husband Eddie of Raleigh, N.C., Wanda Stovall and husband Shae of Raleigh, N.C. and Brenda Leto and husband John of Niskayuna, N.Y. He also survived by his niece Abby Hixson and nephews Foster Hixson, Ryan Leto and Austin Leto. In addition he leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private family graveside service was held August 10th at Montlawn Memorial Park.
