Soo Kyu Lee

Soo Kyu Lee of Apex, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4th at the age of 84, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 12th, 1940, in Busan, South Korea, she grew up with a deep sense of tradition and resilience. In 1987, she made the courageous journey to America with her youngest children, Seunghee and Seungyong Lee, to build a new life. As her family grew, Soo was blessed to spend her time nurturing and raising her beloved grandchildren, creating a legacy of love and care that will never be forgotten. A devoted member of her church, she was known for her kindness and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is lovingly survived by her sons, Seunghoon Lee and Seungyong Lee, and daughter, Seunghee Lee; son-in-law, Bradford Mott; daughter-in-law, Rang Hwangbo; and her cherished grandchildren, Justin Mott and Megan Mott.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to her dear friends and church community for the care, compassion, and support they shared during her final days, bringing comfort and strength to our family.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Raleigh Korean Presbyterian Church located at 5408 Duraleigh Road, Raleigh, NC 27612 on Monday, November 11th at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
