Susan Chamblee Conroy

Susan Chamblee Conroy, 58, died on Friday, April 19th, 2013, after a courageous bout with cancer. She was born in Raleigh on March 15, 1955, attended Broughton High School and graduated from East Carolina University with a BA in Fine Arts.

She is the daughter of Paul Coley Chamblee and Norma Ann Chamblee of Raleigh.

She is survived by her husband, Norman, parents; Paul and Norma Chamblee, sister; Catherine Hartofelis and husband Harry all of Raleigh, brother; Paul Chamblee Jr. of Wilmington, nieces Cameron and Rachael Hartofelis.

She was employed by Standard Pacific Homes in sales. As her friends can attest, Susan cared very deeply for animals and always showed them the great care and compassion for which she was known. She will be remembered most for her love of horses and her very special friend, Expresso.

The family will receive friends at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, St. Mary’s Street, Raleigh, on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Graveside services will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh, NC at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April, 23, 2013.

Donations in her name can be made to the Veterinary College at NC State University and the SPCA of Raleigh.
