It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our husband and father, Tam Trinh, on August 5, 2026.
Tam was born in Saigon, Vietnam. As a teenager, he left Vietnam as a boat refugee in search of a better future. He left behind his parents, siblings, and homeland. Through hard work and determination, he built a new life while staying connected to his Vietnamese roots and traditions.
Family was important to Tam. He worked to provide for the people he loved and lived with a sense of responsibility, perseverance, and care for others. He valued time spent together as a family and the traditions that connected them to their Vietnamese heritage.
Tam is survived by his wife, Dao, and his children, Kimberly, Diana, Quynh Anh, and Almira. He will also be remembered by his relatives, friends, and those who knew him.
Our family is grateful for the sacrifices he made and the life he built for us. We will always remember him with love and cherish the memories we shared.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of La Vang North Carolina, 11701 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors Sunday afternoon, August 16, from 4:00 - 8:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, Raleigh.
