Just heard the news.  Ted was a work buddy & will be sadly missed.

I have so many great memories with Ted from our 40 years as great friends.  To name just a few; camping at Kerr lake and sailing Ted's Hobie Cat, sailing Aquila on Kerr lake and anchoring out overnight, sailing in the BVI's together, going to the America's Cup in San Francisco, Skiing, Golfing, Jimmy Buffet Concerts.... Ted was always there to help in time of need and loved to fix things. Sail on in heaven Ted! My love and thoughts to Carol and the entire family.    

I was lucky enough to be one of Chip's good friends at Smithtown High School (sorry still have a hard time with "Ted").  Chip was a great friend and remember him and the gang we hung around with fondly.   I owe some stories to his family about those days (which I plan on sharing) and remember his Mustang convertible, his intelligence, his varied interests and his overall great outlook and sense of humor. My sincere condolences to his family and friends and raise a glass to a life well lived. 

We knew Ted for many years from Steele Creek Marina.  We enjoyed so many times talking, laughing, watching the sunsets.  He was part of the Jimmy Buffett concert crew for several years and enjoyed a lot more laughs. He was quite the talented margarita maker, even hooking up the blender to the car battery one year.
Ted loved sailing, laughing, smiling, story telling, cooking, making margaritas, listening to great music, building bon fires, collecting friends, talking about his family.
Our hearts are broken, left much too soon. Our lives are blessed to have had him as a friend.
To his family, we are thinking about all of you with much love.

I sailed with Ted at Steele Creek Marina .  He was a funny guy with a great laugh.  I always enjoyed his company.  I will miss him.

I am deeply sorry for your loss.  Ted was a good man who clearly loved his family dearly and spoke of all of you often.  He was 100% dependable as a friend and co-worker, and I am personally saddened by his untimely passing.  Good sailing in heaven, my friend........

Ted and family - we are going to miss your wit and charm, shared with us at many holidays. We will think of you often and toast to you at our next Kipos outing.
