

Tommy had a great interest in cars as a teen, which lead him toward stock car racing on dirt tracks, the beginnings of NASCAR. As he matured he gained knowledge and expertise in all aspects of construction, especially plumbing. Tommy was the founder and president of Tommy V. Strigo, Inc., a mechanical contracting firm. He was also a past president and board member of the Jaycees. Tommy had a quick wit, enjoyed playing golf and living life to the fullest. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and was a wonderful grandfather.
He is survived by his daughters: Delores “Dale” Strigo of Raleigh, NC; Tammy Strigo Cheek and husband, David of Mebane, NC, and Tracy Strigo Hunter and husband , Michael of Rougemont, NC; step-son: Christopher Paul Hauselman and wife Teena of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren: Lauren, DJ, and Anna Cheek, Alex and Luke Hauselman; and his brother: Duffy B. Strigo and wife Linda of Elon, NC.
Mr. Strigo is preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, R. Louise Sue Strigo; parents: “Gene” Benson Strigo and Thomas H. Strigo; brothers: Charlie H. Strigo and Bobby G. Strigo.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, October 20, 2013 in the Hawfields Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 2115 South NC 119, Mebane, NC 27302.
