Virginia Clark Hind, 65, passed away on Thursday evening, July 22, 2010 at Rex Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born on November 14, 1944, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of David O. and Marion Jane Drury Clark.
Virginia obtained her LPN degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, and worked in many different hospitals in Richmond from 1960 to 1976. She also dedicated her life to improving the lives of a number of children for whom she babysat over many years. She met the love of her life, John R. Hind, in high school and they married in August 1976.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, John R. Hind, of Raleigh; daughter, Laura Lindsay Hind, of Raleigh; her daughter's beloved guide dog, Apollo; and her sister, Martha Clark Goss, of Hopewell, New Jersey.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 3 PM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park.
