Walter Glenn Ray

A Wake Co. native, he was born to Pugh R. Ray and Josephine Ray on September 3rd, 1938. Glenn was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Retired from AC Corp of Greensboro.

Surviving are his sons, Tim Ray of Apex, NC and Ken Ray of Cary, NC. Also surviving are two siblings, J.P. Ray of Garden City, MI. and Ava Ray of Wendell, NC; grandsons, Zach Ray and his wife, Caroline, Daniel Ray and his wife, Alayna.

Glenn is predeceased in death by his loving wife, Imogene; his father Pugh Ray; his mother, Josephine and brothers, Wiley, Tommy and Carl.

A visitation for Glenn will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Mitchell Funeral Home at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Mitchell Funeral Home, the service will be livestreamed and can be viewed through this link https://youtube.com/live/mwfIFZeoQC0?feature=share . A graveside service will occur Tuesday, July 15, 2025 immediately following the funeral, at Raleigh Memorial Park & Mitchell Funeral Home, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612.
