My name is Jack Payne and I live in Raleigh. I was a classmate of Wayne’s at Charlotte County Day. I graduated in 1968. It is a shame i did not know Wayne lived in Raleigh. I would have really liked to have known Wayne the adult. He was a fun loving always positive and real smart individual.  He was also the skinniest football center in Charlotte. He played the game like I knew him in life with great effort and enthusiasm . I am deeply sorry .  Sincerely and respectively . Jack Payne.
