Ellen, just heard about Bill!  I am so sorry!  Wanted to let you know that you and Erica are both in my prayers!!

"Mr. Bill" was so much more than a puppet coach to me.  He was my brother, and he was my friend.  It was impossible to be in a bad mood around him, his laugh and his personality would brighten even the darkest of rooms.  None of us knew Bill long enough, but I knew him long enough for him to leave a lasting impression on me.  I will always remember the way he fiercely loved his family, and the Lord.  And no matter where we were, at the Wake football games, or when we went on vacation together to the amusement park, or when I was invited into his home, he made me feel apart of his family.  I loved Mr Bill, and I will always cherish our friendship.  God bless the McBride family.  

To me, he was simply Billy, my crazy red-headed cousin.  So many memories from being young.  He and my brother Bobby instigated a lot of mayhem and fun when we were young.  Now that they are both in heaven, God has his hands full. Love and peace to Ellen, Erica, Vanessa, Sandi and Keith.  I love you guys and I share your pain.

Bill was a really good Christian brother.  He an Dave would have great talks (when Dave let him get a word in). He will be missed here on earth like Dave, but we will rejoice when we all meet up again as we sit around our Father's Throne.  Praying for peace an comfort both now an times to come. I moved to Dallas for a couple years back in 2010 and Bill was the only friend I had for some time.  We spent many evenings together watching our beloved Tar Heels play (I know he's currently looking down laughing while I type this).  In all seriousness, I wouldn't have traded those years and our relationship for anything.  Bill was just a good man...a Christian and an incredible spouse, father, and grandfather.  If anyone reads this and takes anything away, let it be this...don't lose touch with the ones you love.  Over the past few years, I lost touch with Bill and I feel nothing but regret.  I miss you old buddy.  To Ellen, Erica, and the entire family...I pray that you will receive peace and comfort knowing that he is in a better place.  Until we meet again Bill...
