William Marvin Parker

Bill was born January 12, 1927 in Wake County, NC to Linus M. Parker and Mae Dodd Parker. He was a WWII veteran and a graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, NY. Bill was also a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was employed as a stock broker and financial advisor.

Bill is survived by his wife, Patsy T. Parker; sons, William Marvin Parker, Jr. of Raleigh; Marc Parker and his wife, Monica of Apex.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1704 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27608. A graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday at Historic Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at White Memorial Presbyterian Church.
