Bill, was a great mentor and friend , he was a great  artist,always wiiling to try something new.He will be missed by everyone in the artist community.

I had the privilege of knowing Bill when he and Alice lived here in Northern Virginia.  He was a friend and mentor, and an artist of exceptional skill and imagination.  Always the gentleman, always gracious, always willing to help, and a wealth of knowledge and wisdom I will miss.

Bill was one of the most talented, knowledgeable,sharing,thoughtful and enjoyable person we have ever known. He was a true Renaissance man! We cherish the friendship we shared with him and Alice and send her our love and deep and sincere sympathy.

Although it's been several years since I last saw Bill and Alice, they were both a big part of what made UCR my church home. Bill was always a joy to interact with - pragmatic, funny, unfailingly kind, dedicated and truly present. He was a great role model, as is Alice. Although we know he is not truly gone except in the physical sense, still that is a painful change to experience for his dearest ones, particularly Alice. I hope knowing that he will be remembered with loving gratitude for his time in physical form provides some comfort in this challenging time.
