Worth Poole Gurley

Worth Poole Gurley , 92, died on May 25, 2012. He was a loving father and grandfather cherished by his three sons, Worth Jr, Mark and Brian; and adored by his grandchildren, Worth III, Adam, Mary, William and Grace; and his daughters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He is reunited with his wife of nearly 50 years Mary Elizabeth, who predeceased him in 2006.

Worth Gurley was born in Pine Level, NC the second child of N.M. and Flora Mabel Gurley. He attended Campbell College and Wake Forest University. After volunteering for the Navy during WWII, Worth joined the family firm, Gurley Realty, operating the business for nearly 60 years before retiring at the age of 89.

Worth Gurley's family extends their gratitude to Springmoor and the staff of the Stewart Health Center for their excellent care and is very grateful to his long time friends and associates for their extraordinary support and kindness. His life was rich, full and complete.
