Jeanette retired from Robinson Memorial Hospital in 2002 after 25 years of employment in administration. She was an avid reader who loved books and reading her Bible daily. She attended the former Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Shalersville and also loved animals, especially her cats. Jeanette also enjoyed listening to a wide range of music and liked to attend concerts. Above all, Jeanette was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother.
Jeanette is survived by her beloved husband Tom Aikens, who she married July 17, 1971. She is also survived by her children: John (Polly) Cain, James Cain, Dan Cain, step-children: Thomas John (Jackie) Aikens, Terry (Diane) Aikens, Tim (Debbie) Aikens, Bob (Tammy) Aikens, Tammy Horvath, and Shari Aikens. Her memory will also be cherished by her 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, her sons Richard Cain and Robert Cain, her brothers Dallas Perkins and James Perkins, and her sister Margie Nelson.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 5:00 – 6:30 PM with funeral services officiated by Pastor Joe Ellis at 6:30 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E Main St., Ravenna.
