Born June 22, 1940, in Jeffersonville, Illinois, to Nettie (Truax) and Huey Scarlett.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Butch, her loving brothers Joey (Betty), Terry, Denny, Jim, Lonnie (Darlene), her infant son Bryan Scott and great-grandson Matthew Anderson.
Jeanne is survived by her loving children Cindy Benson, Kurt (Pam), and Kim (Zeke) Holbert. She also leaves her grandkids David Benson (Nicole), Ryan Benson, Tera Kisner (Shawn), Jamie Anderson (Adam), Melissa Penix, 15 great grandkids and 10 great great grandkids. Left also to cherish her memory is her brother Shane (Jean) Scarlett and sisters Paula Morrison, Norma Scarlett, Sue Scarlett and Mary Burger. Many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved so much will dearly miss her. Her “other kids” Joi Stephenson and Jeanette Fiorvante as she called them, will greatly miss her.
Jeanne loved feeding the little animals, she always found the best in everyone and was truly an angel on earth. She loved going to Bingo with her special “6 pack” group and would help anyone in need.
Jeanne’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Grace Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion they gave to her and our family and a special thank you to Kim and Zeke for their constant care and attention to her needs in their home.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, Ohio, 44266 from 5pm until 7pm, where funeral services, officiated by Pastor Bob Burgess, will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 11am. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
