Arline M Rothermel

Arline M. Rothermel, age 95, passed away June 9, 2026, at Altercare Post Acute Rehabilitation Center in Brimfield. She was a resident of Vista Veranda for the past five years and lived in Suffield for most of her life.

She was born October 22, 1930, in Canton, Ohio, to parents James A. and Laura (Keller) Krantz. Arline was Catholic in faith and attended several area churches.

Arline graduated from Randolph High School in 1948, and also attended Bohecker’s Business School and Kent State University. She was the clerk/treasurer for Field Schools and served as a financial advisor for the Portage County School Consortium.

Arline enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge. She also was an avid golfer and loved to travel. Above all, she cherished being a mother and grandmother.

Arline is survived by her children: Deb Hutsler and Doug (Christine) Rothermel, her 4 grandchildren: Meghan (Tom) Weese, Robert (Sarah) Hutsler, Ashley (Rory) St. Jean, and Andrew (Eva) Rothermel, as well as her 12 great-grandchildren including: Tommy and Kyle Weese, Autumn, Lorelai, Dylan, and Claire Hutsler, Weston, Eli, and Rowan St. Jean, along with 3 Rothermel great-grandchildren, and her sister Norma Zwick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard John Rothermel, and her siblings: Marjorie, Beulah, Clifford, Melvin, Goldie, and Fr. Ernest.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E Main St., Ravenna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Randolph. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
