She was born June 27, 1938, in Atwater, Ohio, to parents Homer G. and Pearl (Shook) Vannoy. Barbara graduated from Rootstown High School and worked as a sales associate with Macy’s. Barbara was a former member of Bethel Baptist Church and a previous resident of Georgia and Massillon, Ohio.
Barbara is survived by her children: David Burchett of French Settlement, Louisiana, Rita (Dwain Hoffster) Bucci of Ravenna, Tom Bucci of Ravenna, Janet Oboczky of Rootstown, Brenda (Jeff) Harkwell of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her grandchildren: Jack, Curt, Jake, Shawn, Kyle, Heather, Nathan, Joshua, Delery, Benton, Coleman, and Lawton; as well as Jim Bucci.
Friends will be received Saturday, November 30, 2013, from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM funeral service officiated by Pastor David Ballert at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
