Barbara was born November 21, 1946, in Barberton, Ohio, to parents Elson and Abbie (Harrelson) Lepley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter Taylor Ann Lynn and her grandson Preston Scott Lynn.
Barbara is survived by her children: Mike (Barb) Lynn of Atwater, Scott (Tiffany) Lynn of Atwater, Lisa Lynn of Atwater, Tommy (Dana) Bogus of Northfield and John (Erin) Bogus of Brecksville. Also surviving are grandchildren: Ryan Mateja, Robbie (Krystal Fox) Taylor, Rebecca (Brett) Schwartz, Lauren Lynn, Logan Lynn, Kayla Lynn, Kamryn Lynn, Riley, Casey, Christopher & Amanda Bogus and great-grandchildren: Andrew and Olivia Taylor. She will also be dearly missed by her long-time companion Tom Bogus, sisters Debbie Lepley & Janet Lepley of Columbus, Gerry Lepley of Akron her devoted dog Toto and several nieces, nephews and very close cousins.
Barbara graduated in 1964 from Waterloo High School. After High School she was employed by Robinson Memorial Hospital, retiring after 30 years of service. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, watching them compete in sports and 4H Livestock competitions at the Portage County Randolph Fair and State Fair. She loved riding horses when she was younger, cooking and camping. Barb loved vacationing in Florida, Arizona, California and Wisconsin, visiting with family and friends, and her trips with her friends to Myrtle Beach. She loved spending time with her friends at the Quilt Club and their getaways. She also enjoyed her association as a member of the Red Hat Society. Barb always put her kids first and her last, making sure they always had what they needed and also there for family and friends. We all love you mom and will never forget all of the sacrifices you made so we could have the life that we have now.
Barb’s family thanks each and every one of her friends that were able to help o8ur mother during this time. The family would also like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at U.H. Portage for the excellent care and compassion given our mother.
Friends will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm when the Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Ruth Roth will be held at 7:00pm.
