Barbara G Sokoley

She is survived by her daughters, Terri Chriswell and Karen McDaniel (William “Bud” McDaniel); her brother, Donald Longbottom; her grandchildren, Angela McCabe (Scott McCabe), Michaelanne Petrella (James Guthman), Kristen Cireddu (Dr. James Cireddu), Alena McDaniel, Hannah McDaniel, and Jared McDaniel; her great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Grant, Veto, and Luca; and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry Longbottom and Edna Snyder; her brother, Larry Longbottom; her cousins, Robert Longbottom and Ronald Longbottom; her son, Mark Chriswell; her son-in-law, Dominic Petrella; and her husband, Edward Sokoley.

Barbara worked for Goodyear for 35 years and rose through the ranks, eventually retiring as an Accounts Analyst, where she handled transactions for large nationwide corporations. She took immense pride in her work, having built her career from the ground up as a single mom with three children.

She later married Edward Sokoley, whom she had known for over 70 years, and spent decades with him tending to their home, watching Cavs games, crocheting beautiful blankets, cooking huge meals for their family, and cracking jokes. She loved getting her hair done by her daughter Terri, listening to singing by her daughter Karen, and visiting with extended family.

The family is devastated by this loss but finds solace in knowing that Barb and Eddie are reunited, and that she is finally with her son Mark again.
