I am sorry I was not able to be at Bernie's funeral Mass, but I just finished watching it via video. Thank you for sharing this special moment with those of us who could not be there in person. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all of the Kline family and especially the Miller family. Jessie is one of my former homeroom students and a favorite! I knew of Bernie through her sharing wonderful stories of the special times she shared with her grandpa and grandma. What an amazing legacy he left as evidenced by her and all of his family. Remember that he will always be with you and his legacy will go on through all of his wonderful family. May God bless all of you and help you as you grieve. Much love to you all!

I remember being at a wedding a few years ago. All married couples were on the dance floor and one by one they left as the DJ called out an amount of years the couple was married. Uncle Bernie and Aunt Rita were on the dance floor to the end. Great to see them on the dance floor and to be married over 60 + years. They were all smiles.

We are neighbors of Bernie’s in Rootstown. He was the first neighbor we met when we moved into the neighborhood in February 1978 and our oil tank ran too low on oil. Somehow we knew to contact Bernie and he came to our rescue . This was a lifesaver for us because we had a new baby and the Big Blizzard was upon us. He was so pleasant and cheerful whenever he solved other problems with the furnace....always in the worst days of the winter.

We extend to his family our sincere condolences for the loss of this remarkable man.

Dad, great memories. I will always remember the trip to the Smokey Mt’s. as well as the camping trips to Tappan Lake with the boat. Water skiing at West Branch after we ( you ) cut firewood in the area to build West Branch.
As well as all the help whenever we moved to a new house and started a new project. Rest in pease.
