She was born July 17, 1933, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Hoy and Ruth (Marks) Postlethwait. Betty worked for over 37 years at Bill White's Twin Star Bowling Lanes. She enjoyed golfing and bowling, as well as knitting.
Betty is survived by her children: John (Maria) Rhoads, Dave (Valerie) Rhoads, Jim (Cathy) Rhoads, and Sharon (Kelly) Batsch, and her brother Charles Postlethwait. Betty’s memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren: Michelle, Karla, Matt, Jenna, Jessica, Craig, C.J., and Dea, along with her great-grandchildren: Bailey, Leo, Jayden, Zoey, Ryker, Jason, Marky, Lilly, and Vivi.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John “Bob” Rhoads, her grandson Jason, her sister Karen Heffley, and her brothers Gary and Larry Postlethwait.
Friends will be received Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
