Bradley Ira Pontius

Bradley Ira Pontius, age 79 of Ravenna, passed away November 20, 2022. He was born May 2, 1943, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents Emmett Ira and Mildred Mae (Garmier) Pontius. Brad graduated from Ravenna High School in 1961. He then proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Army. Brad retired from Ravenna City Schools as a bus driver and mechanic. In his free time, he enjoyed painting cars and riding his motorcycle. Brad is survived by his children: Chad (Renee) Pontius and Amanda Pontius, his grandchildren: Paige and Hailey Pontius, his sisters: Elaine Hugill, and Jeanne Dusz, and nieces, nephews and cousins. Brad was preceded in death by his parents, his sister June Bargeron, and his longtime companion Norma Savarino. His wishes for cremation are being honored. Friends and family will be received Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna.
