

She was born September 26, 1947, in Davey, West Virginia, to parents William Leonard and Minnie Louise (White) Brooks. Brenda was well known as the “Avon Lady” in Ravenna and Akron for many years. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Brenda is survived by her sons: Stephen (Veronica) Cripple and Shawn (Barb) Cripple, her grandchildren: Kate, Steven, Hayley, Shawnna, and Bryon, her great-grandchildren: Hayden, Savannah, and Declan, as well as her sister Pam Johrendt and many nieces and nephews.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Samuel D. Cripple Sr., her son Samuel D. Cripple Jr., and her sisters: Helen Lowe, Barbara Hillis, and Patricia Blankenship.
Her wishes for cremation are being honored and final resting place will be Brevard Memorial Park in Cocoa, Florida. The family would like to thank all of Brenda’s caregivers, including Cindy, Peggy, Zee, Melanie, Bessie, Heidi, Alan, and Levi, along with countless other family, friends, and neighbors.
