January 10, 1965 – August 23, 2025
Brian Kelly Eicher of Akron, Ohio passed away in the early hours of August 23, 2025. The world feels unbearably quieter without him. Brian lived with a heart so vast, so generous, that to know him was to be held in warmth, in understanding, in love that asked for nothing and gave everything. His laughter lingered in rooms long after he left, his smile could lift the heaviest of days, and his presence made life feel more alive, more worth every fragile, fleeting moment.
Born to Cheryl and James Eicher, Brian was a Navy veteran. He took pride in his work, whether as a butcher or cutting trees alongside his uncle—but it was the love he gave to his family, friends, and community that defined him most. He served with integrity as treasurer of the South Akron Nest and as Marshall of the Supreme Nest of Fraternal Order Orioles, giving tirelessly, humbly, and without expectation.
Brian’s heart was boundless. He loved the Cleveland Browns with uncontainable joy, and this upcoming season, when a touchdown sparks a cheer, you will feel him there, celebrating alongside you in that perfect, fleeting moment. He loved cooking meals that became memories, quiet mornings spent fishing, traveling with his beloved Angela Nolan, and above all, spending time with his family, his children: Christopher (Morgan), Amber, Brock (Sierra), and Joshua (Dana), and his grandchildren, Leihetta, Amara, Everleigh, Joshua, Robert, and Andrew.
He is survived by his beloved Angela Nolan; his brother, Terry Eicher; his children and grandchildren; nieces Tiffany Nicholson and Heather Eicher; his parents, Cheryl and James Eicher; and by his uncle, Denny Gatchel, his aunt, Carol Gatchel, and his cousins, Todd Gatchel and Kimberly Edmonson. Brian shared a deep and lasting bond with them—moments of laughter, quiet understanding, and steadfast support that shaped his life and brought him a sense of belonging and joy that was uniquely theirs.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Felicia Finley; grandparents John and Betty Gatchel and James and Vivian Eicher; and cousin Kevin Gatchel.
Brian’s life was love made visible. His absence leaves a silence that is impossible to fill, a weight that lingers in every room, every laugh, every shared memory. And yet, in every memory, in every Browns game celebrated, in every meal cooked and every fish caught, he remains—cheering, smiling, loving, as deeply and fully as he ever did.
Calling hours and a ceremony to honor Brian’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd, at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 East Main Street, Ravenna, OH 44266. Calling hours will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, with a service, officiated by Pastor Brett Bartels, beginning at 6:00 PM.
